On the Road, Finally.
For those of you following my journey, I thought you might like to know that I am currently in Jefferson City, MO. or “Jeff” City as the locals call it. I am staying in the Best Western Capitol Inn, and waiting for the thunderstorms to pass before I go on to St. Louis. I started riding on saturday morning around 10:30 am. I am planning on arriving in St. Louis on friday, around 3 pm, if all goes as planned. I have been following highway 50. I have encountered some interesting situations already, like on sunday night, when I was camping in a field, and spent the entire night, with coyotees checking out my tent. I hope all of you are having a great summer so far, and I will be posting my next update very soon.

Howdy!
Today is May 15th, I am in Mattoon IL, for one more night, I have been here for a few days because of some issues with my knee. I will be leaving here tomorrow morning, and heading out for Indianapolis. I will be taking highway 16 to Paris IL, then taking 36 across Indianna. I have had some interesting days lately and I am hopeing that I can get access to a computer with a port for my SD card out of my camera. I am looking forward to getting back on the road tomorrow, and hopefully my knee will hold out.
I also want to thank everyone who has been helping me out along the way, I really appreciate it, I couldn’t make this trip without you.

I have know your parents for a long time and even though I am very impressed with your accomplishments, I am not surprised. I have enjoyed listening to your Dad (Dave) talk about your worthy venture and look forward to hearing more. If anyone knows your Father, they know he is not impressed easily. This is one occasion there is no doubt that he is impressed and proud of your commitment.
