Hello everyone. Today I was just talking about summer camp with one of my co-workers. Every time I talk about camping working at Camp Bold Eagle always comes up.
I worked at Camp Bold Eagle in Chelsea back in 1981. I met so many wonderful young people. And I learned a lot about people also.
It was my first time away from home at 17 years old. I was very scared at first but all of the counselors, CIT’s and staff members that were there when I first arrived made me feel a part of there community right away.
I was only a cook in the kitchen but I still was able to interact with the counselor’s, staff and the kids. It was a GREAT summer. I cried at first but then I realized they are very brave and strong and they taught me how to be like them, strong, brave and courageous!
If anyone knows of anybody who worked or attended Camp Bold Eagle the summer of 1981, please contact me.
And, I would love to have this experience once again.
Good luck to all and I know everyone will always enjoy camp as much as I did.
